Position Summary

Under direction from the Fort Belvoir Community Hospital's (FBCH) Chief Technology Officer and Team Leader, the SharePoint Farm Administrator shall be responsible for the overall health and performance of the SharePoint Farm. In addition to standard maintenance duties, the Farm Administrator will assist customers as well as team members with on-going projects and maintain the full SharePoint Lifecycle Management practice throughout each project.

The successful candidate should possess in-depth technical knowledge along with the ability to implement a full SharePoint Solution Lifecycle, along the ability to support multiple environments. The ideal candidate will have migration and operational experience with both SharePoint 2010 as well as SharePoint 2013.

The candidate shall also possess strong knowledge of Internet Information Server (IIS) and Microsoft SQL Server. The person selected will be responsible for performing Farm backup procedures using a prescribed disaster recover methodology.

Performance Objectives

  • Design and provision SharePoint Enterprise for multiple environments (Staging, Production, Testing, Development)
  • Deploy, upgrade, and remove SharePoint solution packages (WSPs) across the SharePoint farm
  • Manage and maintain user access and permissions (applying relevant security schema)
  • Troubleshoot SharePoint and Server errors via system and application logs
  • Perform Server maintenance (monthly and ad-hoc)
  • Query/ respond to trouble tickets via Remedy ticketing system
  • Build relationships with engineers, project managers, SharePoint designers, end users and subject matter experts.
  • Utilize detailed knowledge of industry, DoD and DISA security requirements to implement appropriate security patches and implement relevant STIGs
 
Position Requirements

Special Requirements

  • 7 years of prior IT experience in a large enterprise environment (5000+ users)
  • 5 years advanced experience with SharePoint 2010/2013 in a large enterprise environment (5000+ users)
  • In depth knowledge configuring and managing Microsoft Windows Servers (2008-)
  • Experience with established Configuration and Change Management processes
  • Active SECRET security clearance or above (successfully adjudicated NACLC)
  • Ideal candidate should possess at least one or more Microsoft certifications (such as MCP, MCSA, MCSE and/or MCITP)
  • Ideal candidate will have had some supervisory experience (2 or more direct reports)
  • Maintain DoD 8570 IA Workforce-related certifications; minimum Security+ certification required upon start or within 6-months of start
  • Security+CE certification or higher level.
