Description

KMHS Accounting team is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the role of the Financial Reporting Analyst. The Financial Reporting Analyst will be responsible for supporting a wide variety of finance projects and responsibilities. From contributing to the financial and month end close process, to assist in the preparation and review of the Company's financial statements, to preparing various internal and external financial reports, and to perform account reconciliations and transaction processing as necessary. This individual should enjoy a dynamic work environment and adding value to critical finance projects.

  • Contribute to month-end close process to ensure timely, accurate financial data that is in compliance with GAAP and agency accounting policies;
  • Assist with transaction processing, including payroll, accounts payable, and billing, as necessary to assure transactions are completed on time Critically reviews and accurately records transactions into the general ledger, including understanding system limitations and GAAP adjustments;
  • Accurately reconcile accounts, summarize activity, resolve reconciling differences appropriately, and understand both the Balance Sheet and P&L impact of account activity, including classifications of financial statement line items;
  • Prepare financial reports to ensure they are clear and understandable from the user's perspective and compliant with all reporting requirements;
  • Preparation and review of documentation necessary to complete various reports to state agencies and to the board, as directed by the CFO;
  • Work with external auditors and third party administrators to facilitate annual audits, including retirement plan audit;
  • Review the accounting for month end close to identify opportunities for improvement and develop project plans for implementation of such improvements;
  • Participates in or perform ad-hoc projects as needed;
  • Exemplifies role of continuous learning and takes ownership for personal education and skills building;
  • Constantly strives to exceed goals, requirements, previous accomplishments and expectations;
  • Displays effective written and verbal communication through email, reports, meetings and presentations;
  • Ability to work extended workdays and weekends to support business needs;
  • Other duties may be assigned.
 
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Business, Accounting, or equivalent experience;
  • 2 - 3 years public accounting experience strongly preferred;
  • Must possess strong knowledge and understanding of US GAAP;
  • Must be highly motivated and possess excellent analytical and communication skills;
  • Must possess a high degree of flexibility and demonstrate the ability to perform numerous tasks and assignments concurrently
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel and Power Point) essential, Microsoft Dynamics GP knowledge a plus. Must have intermediate to expert Excel skills.
