Job Summary:

Devereux Behavioral Health Rehabilitation (BHRS) Services are available to residents of Berks, Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery Counties. These services are provided to children and adolescents between the ages of two and 21 with intellectual and developmental disabilities, with the goal of treating the individual in his or her home, school and community. BHRS is a process that strives to create positive outcomes - such as problem solving and coping skills - for the child through a structured and individualized process that is family-centered and culturally competent. Our staff works as a team with the individual's family members to provide them with the tools needed to help the individual succeed in his or her environment. We also seek to build a family's 'natural supports' - their network of social and community relationships (such as teachers, coaches and friends) that can be a source of strength for the child and family.

Devereux Community Services is are currently seeking Behavioral Specialist Consultant that will be based in Wayne, PA. This position develops, assesses, oversees, implements, and monitors individualized Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) of the assigned BHRS child and/or adolescent. Conducts appropriate assessments (including functional behavioral assessments) to develop or modify BSPs, as well as determine the efficacy of each plan through data collection and analyses. Acts as a consultant to the child's team (family, school, and any additional BHRS members, including TSS and MT). Trains team in the necessary intervention techniques so that plans can be correctly implemented and ensures transfer of skills to the child's natural supports in the least restrictive environment. Provides feedback to team and MCO regarding the progress of the child/adolescent.
