Description

Position Summary:

Philabundance is seeking a Coordinator in our Community Foods Program (CFP) to support the CFP Manager in all daily activities that support the community food programs administered through agencies and Philabundance Direct Programming. This is a multifaceted role that will challenge you to manage a full range of administrative activities while also working with partner agencies, volunteers and the public. Current programs include Fresh For All, CSFP, PantryBox Pilot, BackPack Program and LunchBox. This position operates during normal business hours and will be a mixture of administrative office duties and off-site field responsibilities.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Serve as primary liaison focused on pre-boxed programs which are “client ready” prepackaged food boxes. Current programs include: CSFP, PantryBox for Seniors, Kids LunchBox and Kids Backpack

  • Serve as a back-up liaison for Fresh For All

  • Participate in agency monitoring and ongoing site management

  • Work closely with internal department staff to identify, track and coordinate programming with partners.

  • Coordinate research, outreach and exploratory meetings with partners and internal staff

  • Provide meeting agendas, minutes and follow up action items and communicate with relevant staff

  • Ensure all necessary agreements with sites, partners and agencies are executed as outlined

  • Provide community partner support including training, consulting and onsite assistance as mutually outlined by the partner agreement.

  • Implement work plan as outlined with manager and communicate delays or issues in a timely manner

  • Provide relevant content for monthly status reports of program activity, accomplishments and challenges

  • Ensure HFPA and PDA compliance is maintained per program requirements

  • Ensure maintenance of company vehicles designated for program use, reporting concerns and arranging for routine maintenance in a timely manner

  • Assist in the development and implementation of new programs and department initiatives to help meet Philabundance strategic mission goals

  • Document appropriate program procedures and attend meetings as needed

  • Other duties as needed

 
Position Requirements

  • Self-directed, able to work independently as well as part of a team

  • Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Ability to lift and move boxes up to 50lbs
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
  • 2-year degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience working with diverse groups of people
  • Experience working with presenting and/or teaching
  • Experience working with school systems a plus
  • Computer skills required: Word, Excel, and Outlook. Microsoft CRM or relevant database experience a plus.
