Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The position of George School Fund Coordinator is an integral part of George School's Advancement Office. Reporting to the Director of Advancement Strategy, the position coordinates annual and reunion giving to achieve high levels of annual fund participation across all constituencies. Responsibilities include coordinating targeted print and electronic appeals, phonathons, and other outreach for the George School Fund; to recruit and manage an effective network of volunteers to enhance outreach and class giving; coordinating reunion classes to reach high participation in reunion events and reunion giving.

This is a highly collaborative position that works closely with all members of the Advancement Office. The ideal candidate must have a passion for education; strong networking, social media, written and verbal communication skills; the ability to inspire and manage volunteers; and excellent organizational skills. Experience with fundraising, relational databases, and independent schools, while not essential, are a plus.

 
Position Requirements

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required and one-year professional office experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and familiarity with database functionality and portal management.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with all levels of staff, volunteers, donors, and prospective donors.
  • Discretion, respect, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
