The Inventory Analyst will report to the Financial Reporting Manager while also working cross-functionally with the Director of Access/Trade, the Director of Planning/Procurement, and the Data/Analytics team.

PURPOSE, OBJECTIVES, FUNCTIONS:

The primary role of the inventory analyst is to be responsible for gathering channel inventory information, to prepare that information for regular presentation to senior management, and to support all inventory management activities including at third party logistic provider (3PL) inventory oversight, shipments, returns, replacements, etc.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist Planning/Procurement in oversight of inventory 3PL

  • Regularly gather and report inventory levels and dating at pharmacies

  • Oversee shipments of inventory to pharmacies, wholesalers

  • Collaborate cross-functionally on inventory tracking and reconciliation

  • Maintain cross-functional excel spreadsheets and executive presentations

  • Work cross-functionally to minimize obsolescence

  • Collaborate on inventory plan for product launches

  • Collaborate on seasonal packout design and roll-out

  • Support activities to optimize shipping

  • If needed, support RFP processes for shipping and 3PL vendors

  • Interact weekly with 3PL and shipping vendors for ongoing execution

  • Track and report returns and replacements and resulting financial transactions

  • Assist in tying pharmacy/wholesaler invoices to inventory transactions

  • Assist in accounting for inventory and return transactions and reconciling to activity recorded by 3PL

  • Assist in coordinating period inventory audits at pharmacies

  • Occasional travel to pharmacies will be required

Position Requirements

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor degree required

  • 2 years of experience with audit or analytical roles a plus

  • 1-2 years of experience in finance, pharmaceuticals and/or inventory management a plus

  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a highly dynamic environment

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
