JOB SUMMARY The Assembler will perform a wide range of electronic and mechanical assembly operations, using assembly drawings, parts lists, work instructions, and/or wiring diagrams. This position requires basic training and process certifications relevant to job assignments. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Acquire and maintain all required certifications. Perform electrical and mechanical assembly operations on product of varying complexity. This may include, but is not limited to basic soldering, mechanical/pneumatic pressing/swaging, sheet-metal assembly, working with wire bundles, pinning and crimping. Must work with and understand standard practices and operations procedures pertaining to assigned work area. Will use a variety of small hand tools as well as mechanical and air driven swaging equipment such as power tools (i.e., Dremel and electric screwdrivers). Working from hard copy (paper) and/or electronic work instructions and assembly drawings. Complete assignments with limited instruction. May be required to use chemicals, solvents and epoxy resins during the normal course of assembly operations. Will adhere to “5S” organization and housekeeping requirements. Perform other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). 1-2 years experience required.
