Description

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

Responsible for the provision of direct mental health services in the form of behavioral health interventions, crisis stabilization; and, RDS (Rehabilitative Day Services) in accordance with Medicaid guidelines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Attends MHPP Certification training and continuing education to validate competency in the areas specified by accreditation and regulatory agencies.

2. Responsible for the timely and accurate completion and submission of all necessary documentation for the provision of billing, Progress notes, YOQ, non-billable services, and other services provided.

3. Must exceed minimum weekly or revised billing goals for reimbursable service provision.

4. Provides direct care as specified for authorized service codes and in accordance with all ethical and compliance guidelines.

5. Attends scheduled meetings with the Mental Health Professional for the purpose of oversight in the provision of therapeutic services specified on the Plan of Care.

6. Attends meetings with psychiatrist or other medical staff as related to mental health needs.

7. Attends school meetings and activities as needed for the benefit of client and school program coordination; may include IAP meetings, parent meetings, school open house, school in-service, or other activities.

8. Provides non-billable services in the school setting in accordance with the non-billable service provision checklist submitted weekly.

9. Participates in the planning and implementation of planned group activities for school related breaks, including all related tasks.

10. Follows Therapist directives in accordance with the client individualized Plan of Care in the provision of therapeutic MHPP services.

11. May be required to drive vans for the transporting of clients to or from designated locations.

12. Provides continuity of care and communication with Therapist, client, parent/guardian; medical staff; juvenile justice; DHS; internal and external contacts; and, others as needed to meet the needs of the client and compliance standards.

13. Responsible for the timely completion of all YOQ documentation.

14. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

 
Position Requirements

Knowledge of a specialized field (however acquired), such as basic accounting, computer, etc. Equivalent of four years in high school, plus night, trade extension, or correspondence school and/or specialized training, equal to two years of college, plus 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Driving for Pathfinder MAY be required under certain circumstances.  Requirements of the Pathfinder Vehicle Loss Control Program must be met before being allowed to drive.
