Philabundance is seeking a full-time Grant Writer to join the Development team! In this role you will research and submit proposals that support our strategic initiatives, steward donors, prepare Letters of Intent/Inquiry, and coordinate interdepartmental inputs. This is a multifaceted role that will challenge you to manage full range of activities that are required to prepare, submit and manage grant proposals to foundations. You will report to the Senior Manager of Institutional Development and collaborate with your fellow Grant Writer to organize and priorities, review grant opportunities and meet submission deadlines. Essential Job Functions:
Work in a seated position up to 8 hours a day, 5 days a week.
Ability to work at a computer screen for extended lengths of time.
Bend, stoop/squat, and walk intermittently throughout the day.
See, hear, and speak with sufficient capability to perform assigned tasks and maintain proper safety conditions.
Perform office tasks using simple hand grasp, fine hand manipulation, and reach associated with assigned tasks such as keying.
Qualifications and Experience:
4 year degree or equivalent work experience
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in proposal writing with a moderate to high percentage of awards.
Previous experience with non-profit fundraising
Experience working in deadline-driven environments.
Able to work well in a team environment, handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
High proficiency with Microsoft platforms – Word, Excel, Outlook.
Experience with Raiser’s Edge, or other donor database, preferred.
