About the Organization KMHS is Kitsap's nonprofit, designated community mental health provider for adults with acute and/or chronic serious mental illnesses, and children with serious emotional disturbances and their families. During 2016, KMHS provided services to more than 6,800 children and adults.

Inpatient, residential, and outpatient treatment services offer evidence-based treatment, using trauma informed care to help people reach their recovery goals. Many community partners assure people receive behavioral health care in the right place, in the right way, at the right time. Perform a wide range of administrative and office support activities for the Administrative Offices and leadership team to facilitate efficient operations for the Agency.


  • Provide administrative support to the Agency Chief Officers and Directors. Manage calendars to efficiently resolve scheduling conflicts, maintain electronic and hard copy filing systems, handle requests for information, and coordinate multiple priorities as assigned.
  • Facilitate preparation for meetings by scheduling participants and conference room and providing agendas, handouts, and other materials.
  • Assist the Executive Assistant with daily administrative tasks and projects to assure smooth and efficient administrative office operations.
  • Assist in management of the Agency’s Contracts and Policy and Procedure processes.
  • Record, compile, transcribe and distribute minutes of several internal meetings.
  • Order and maintain Administrative office supplies.
  • Maintain and update Agency organizational chart and Agency staff directory.
  • Open, sort and distribute department mail.
  • Greet and escort visitors.
  • Maintain files for agency audits, business licenses, operating licenses and certifications. Maintain reminder system for the renewal of licenses and certifications and facilitate the renewal process in a timely manner.
  • Assist with coordination and preparation for the All Staff Meetings.
Position Requirements

High school diploma or GED. Some college or business school preferred. Two years of general office experience. Typing speed of 50 wpm and experience with Microsoft Office Software Programs, including Outlook. Ability to create and manage spreadsheets presentations, reports and documents. Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent general office, spelling, punctuation and grammar skills.
