Recredentialing Coordinator

General Position Summary

The Recredentialing Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring streamlined recredentialing process as well as the licensure and certification verification process across the provider lifecycle. This position will coordinate a seamless recredentialing process that is completed in a timely manner through process oversight, credentialing database management, communication with our providers, and medical leadership.

Major Responsibilities

  • Responsible for coordinating the recredentialing functions of all providers in accordance with NCQA, state and federal requirements.
  • Conducts primary source verification for all recredentialing applications.
  • Suggest mitigations to risk and actions needed to close open issues in the recredentialing process.
  • Accurately enters all critical data elements of provider applications into credentialing software.
  • Commitment to process improvement by always looking for ways to improve current processes and proactively communicate ideas and suggestions with team members and management.
  • Responsible for compliance oversight and verification of all expiring credentials including licensure and certification.
Position Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in provider credentialing activities required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office, verification sources, and experience with credentialing software; IntelliCred preferred.
  • Must have excellent analytical skills, provide attention to accuracy and detail, and be able to prioritize activities and accomplish multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to successfully interact with diverse individuals and groups are needed, including maintaining composure during stressful situations.
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills required. Ability to communicate with all levels including providers and executive stakeholders to provide status updates necessary.

Working Conditions

Non-Center Based. Requires: the ability to sit at a computer for hours at a time (with some bending and stooping), travel to Centers (if so, the noise level is moderate and there is potential for exposure to infectious diseases and blood-borne pathogens), and ability to lift 50 lbs.
