Description

Eagle Harbor Solutions (EHS) is looking for a Policy Analyst to join our team in the Albuquerque, NM Metro area. Pursuant to PL 93-638, as amended, Preference will be given to qualified applicants who are a member of a Federally Recognized Native American Tribe.

Eagle Harbor Solutions (EHS) is looking for a Policy Analyst to support a Network Design and Systems Analysis effort for our customer experience to join our team.

Functions, Responsibilities and Duties:

The Policy Analyst:

  • Performs research of complex public policy issues ranging from energy and health care to national defense and homeland security.
  • Conducts research using both qualitative methods and quantitative methods, such as case studies, survey research, statistical analysis, and model building.
  • Collaborates with technical staff to develop data warehouse. Uses spreadsheets and statistical database programs, such as SAS.
  • Prepares policy reports and briefs of research and presents findings. Analyzes legislative proposals. Evaluates the effectiveness of existing government policies and programs and formulates recommendations regarding strategies to achieve identified mission.
  • Career level with a complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts.
  • Working under only general direction, provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions.
  • Will be required to review current IT assets, network architecture; systems, and supporting systems, resulting in an AS-IS and TO-BE “blueprint” which will define those internal systems which should be moved to the cloud; how to apply continuity of operations to those systems as well as disaster recovery.
 
Position Requirements

Education, Experience & Skills:

The Leader will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5-7 years of experience.

Working Environment & Conditions

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The work load may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
