This will involve meeting with internal and external customers to understand product development opportunities, as well as laboratory research, coordinated with all stakeholders to prototype solutions. Lastly, the Product Development Engineer will work closely with operations teams, process engineers and materials suppliers to help develop the manufacturing process and supply chain. Some travel will be required and will vary based on schedules for technical conferences, customer visits, outside testing, etc. Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Master's degree in materials or chemical engineering or related discipline and 1-3 years of experience in product research and development, or Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of experience Experience in silica related industries would be favorable Strong creative ability to generate new ideas/out of the box thinker Experience in a laboratory and with design of experiments Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to articulate in a non-technical manner to allow others to understand Professional presentation skills Strong analytical and reasoning abilities are a must Solid problem solving and organizational skills Self-motivated and able to work independently or with a team Ability to work in a self-directed team environment Occasional travel may be required   Physical Abilities Must pass toxicity test   Travel Less than 25%   EOE Statement We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
