Description: STR is currently seeking a highly-motivated candidate with strong Story UI and UX design skills who enjoys making something beautiful and usable. Core Responsibilities: Work directly with engineering teams to build web based applications (typical scale is 1-100 users, consider up to 1000 client browsers for design considerations). Take ownership of technical solutions, development, and delivery to production UI and UX design and implementation including map based UI Priority on frontend development. Basic backend (client, server side) familiarity (like Websockets) and broader software development skills desired Must be able to work independently and handle several concurrent projects and associated deadlines   Position Requirements Experience and Desired Skills: 2+ years of experience building large-scale, client-facing web applications Knowledge of modern browser frameworks and frontend technologies such as JavaScript, JQuest, HTML5/HAML, React, CSS3/SASS, JQuery and Bootstrap on multiple browsers (IE, Firefox) on CentOS, Windows8, Windows10 Familiarity with backend technologies such as Tornado, ZeroMQ, Websockets, Python, C++ and Play A deep understanding of modern web applications and experience with issues related to scale, security, availability, deployment, and operations Excellent analytical, communications, and problem-solving skills Self-starter Must be US Citizen and have or be able to obtain Secret clearance STR seeks to provide an outstanding work environment for its employees with excellent benefits and competitive compensation.
