As a Lead Clinician at Devereux’s Mapleton Programs you will be involved in creating and ensuring a focused and customized treatment plan to serve the needs of children and adolescents who have experienced specific emotional and behavioral challenges and traumas. This program focuses on Program-Wide Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PW-PBIS), a program-wide system of care that promotes and rewards positive behaviors, and prevents negative behaviors, to create safe, supportive living environments.
The Mapleton program, located in Malvern, PA works with adolescent females who experience behavioral and psychiatric challenges and is currently seeking a Full-Time Lead Clinician to provide the coordination and delivery of clinical services to include family, group, and individual therapy for assigned clients. Additionally, the Lead Clinician provides consultative services within the treatment team on clinical matters providing support and guidance to other team members, including direct care staff and performs clinical assessments as required and participates in outcome initiatives. 75% of the workload for this role will carry a caseload
Specific responsibilities include:
·Performs a variety of activities designed to facilitate the admissions process for assigned clients to include, but not limited to, gathering biopsychosocial (BPS) information, identifying client strengths, identifying and assessing risk, and completing all required information for electronic medical records in a timely fashion.
·Creates initial treatment plan to include measurable short-term objectives, measurable clinical goals, and specifying clinical strategies Monitors and documents progress using monitoring tools at proscribed intervals. Conducts individual, family, and group therapy according to organizational, program, and professional standards and protocols, documenting such in a timely, legible, articulate fashion.
·Facilitates 30-day review processes (diagnosis, medication, treatment goals and objectives, clinical intervention strategies, discharge planning) for assigned clients. Prepares for reviews by generating data involving individual, group, and family sessions, as well as therapeutic home visits, results of assessments, and/or other areas of concern.
·Schedules and facilitates interagency meetings to include notification of all involved parties, making recommendations, and satisfying organizational and funder documentation expectations and/or requirements.
·Facilitates therapeutic home visits (THVs) to include scheduling, discussing rules and expectations while on the visit, developing crisis plans, and documenting effectiveness/outcome of THVs.
-Provides support and guidance to assigned clinicians to include conducting routine clinical supervision, coaching and counseling and providing performance feedback to include drafting, presenting and implementing performance correction/improvement action plans for assigned clinicians.
-Conducts chart audits for the dual purpose of monitoring compliance with internal organization and professional standards as well as external licensing, accrediting and referring agency expectations and regulations.
