POSITION SUMMARY:

The Logistics Support Specialist II shall perform a variety of actions and activities in support of the NSTID Biometrics training mission at Ft Huachuca, AZ. This effort involves activities associated with a wide range of assistance services to support requirements for NSTID training of biometrics systems for deploying Soldiers.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform logistics management operations that include planning, coordinating, or evaluating the logistical actions required to support specified missions.
  • Plan, manage, and coordinate the total cradle-to-grave life cycle logistics support for assigned systems, integrating separate functions of supply, maintenance, procurement and quality assurance into logistics activities.
  • Collaborate and plan with appropriate personnel to coordinate and/or execute operations.
  • Utilize the Army automated logistics tracking systems.
  • Ensure property accountability is performed,
  • Ship equipment to/from training location.
  • Ensure equipment shipped in support of training events is properly tracked to and from the training location.
  • Ensure equipment removed from the storage location is accounted for through the use of a temporary hand receipt, IAW AR 73-5, AR 710-2 and DA Pam 721-1-1.
  • Ensure new equipment received is properly added to the primary hand receipt.
  • Ensure equipment turn-in is properly accounted for, removed from the primary hand receipt, and the Property Book Officer is appropriately notified.
  • Report Lost, damaged or destroyed equipment is immediately reported to the primary hand receipt holder and documentation and statements involving the loss, damage or destruction is gathered.

 
Position Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

- Two years’ experience as an Army logistics specialist
- Associate degree (experience in lieu of education is allowed)
- Must possess active/current DoD SECRET security clearance
- Able to lift up to 100 pounds with minimal assistance
