About the Job

Manages and coordinates the daily activities and resources for the two Command Centers, one in Teterboro, NJ and the other in Boise, ID. Responsible for department wide compliance, monitoring and improvement of AOG processes. Works closely with all Technical Support Department Managers to ensure activities (especially AOG types) are coordinated effectively, and all operator needs are met. Monitors and directs staff to coordinate and expedites all AOG activity as defined in AOG Responsiveness process. Makes recommendations to optimize efficiency of day-to-day department operations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, manage and monitor Command Center activities and personnel
  • Oversee and maintain responsibility for operations of remote Command Center (BOI) with the assistance of Supervisor, Command Center on site in BOI
  • Responsible for selection of training, job assignments and shift schedules for the assigned Command Center Representatives
  • Ensure equalization of workload among Reps, making recommendations regarding optimization of resources and implementation of necessary changes
  • Active involvement in all AOG's on a consistent basis
  • Maintain command and understanding of AOG statuses globally, ensuring that all AOG's are advancing accordingly and in compliance with AOG Response Process as described in ISO documentation
  • Responsible to develop, collect, evaluate, report and make recommendations on AOG metrics
  • Prepares daily brief for Director, Technical Support
  • Remains involved in and aware of AOG's throughout the day, engages necessary back office or maintenance facility management contacts in support of Front Line activity
  • Focal point for DFJ Alternate Lift process (as a subset of the AOG process. Must understand the entire process, teach and enforce the use of the process within the Technical Support Department
  • Suggest methods of product improvement in a manner designed to promote safety, aircraft performance or reduced cost of operations
  • Identify, map and understand how to use all data resources available to the Command Center and Front Line
  • Monitor, understand and ensure correct actions and documentation of Customer Mood report
  • Attend Falcon technical training, along with Management training recommended by the Director, Technical Support
  • Work with all vendors and suppliers as well as Dassault Aviation, DFJ and DAS departments cooperatively on a daily basis
  • In the event of an aircraft incident/accident, coordinate with DFJ management team to ensure departmental compliance with assisting the customer to recover the aircraft and all ISO procedures are followed
  • Monitor use of the Siebel system for activity and reports (CCR) filing
  • Prepare, execute and reforecast budget information annually and ensure department's budget goals are met
  • Supervise and manage the Falcon Technical Library in TEB
  • Complete all special projects as assigned by Director, Technical Support

Required Qualifications

  • At least ten (10) years of business jet maintenance experience, preferably on Falcon aircraft
  • Two years college degree in aircraft technology, aeronautical engineering, avionics technology or equivalent
  • Supervisory and management skills/experience required
  • Solid analytical skills and the ability to analyze reports, data and trends in order to make informed recommendations and process improvements
  • A&P license
  • Excellent leadership skills -- willing and able to lead by example
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Advanced personal computer skills is a must in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and database experience
  • Demonstrate strong customer service orientation
  • U.S. Driver's license
  • Inspection Authorization
  • French language skills a plus
  • Pilot's license
  • Teaching/instructor experience
  • Previous experience in an Operations Control Center or Maintenance Control environment
