Position Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Two years of custodial maintenance experience
2. One (1) year of supervisory experience
3. Experience with cleaning equipment, materials and cleaning practices. Knowledge of MSDS book and utilization.
4. High School Diploma or GED.
5. Physically fit and able to: walk, stand, bend, lift and maneuver heavy items, while working in a smoke filled, noisy environment and able to perform repetitive action with arms, wrists and hands.
6. CPR/first aid certified within 3 months.
7. Effective communication skills - verbally able to provide instruction, respond to questions, and have exceptional interpersonal skills and abilities.
8. Able to comprehend and implement procedural manuals and prepare detailed reports.
9. Computer skills to operate independently in word, excel and email.
10. Exhibits a professional demeanor through appearance and by maintaining a positive attitude toward all employees and guests.
11. Requires a Security Gaming License clearance and must be 21 years of age.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS1.
1. Training in maintenance, repairs and equipment operation.

 
Description

JOB SUMMARY

Supervise and direct all maintenance duties on assigned shift, including cleaning schedules and assignments, staff supervision and building setup needs.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Ensure customer satisfaction and return visits by providing a clean and safe environment.
2. Responsible for overseeing and maintaining custodial operations on shift, including appropriate staffing for business needs.
3. Responsible for supervision of staff, including interviewing and hiring, scheduling, approving leave, conducting performance evaluations, counseling's, training and disciplinary actions.
4. Develop, monitor and routinely inspect daily cleaning assignments against established performance standards, including cleaning bathrooms, walls, carpets, furniture, equipment and other assigned details.
5. Communicate with co-workers and supervisor, operational concerns, staffing needs, maintenance needs and/or reports and participate in meeting department/business goals and objectives.
6. Promote effective communication through daily communication with all employees, in staff meetings, informational logs, through written materials, etc.
7. Enters and maintains employee schedules in time clock system and appropriately processes leave. Also responsible for posting work schedules timely and accurately.
8. Comply with regulatory laws, employee handbook, department policy and procedures, safety codes, etc. Administer policies appropriately and consistently.
9. Participate in staff training and development by assessing daily functions and performance training needs, employee IDP, etc., and communicating needs with Manager.
10. Ensure that operation of equipment, tools and materials are handled in a safe manner.
11. Promotes a clean, safe and healthy work environment for employees and guest. Promptly addresses hazards and reports all concerns to Supervisor.
12. Promote internal guest service standards through courteous and respectful behavior.
13. Other related duties as assigned or directed.
