Share Email Opening Title Cybersecurity Technical Writer  Location Fort Belvoir Community Hospital   Address 9300 DeWitt Loop   City Fort Belvoir   State and Postal Code VA 22060   Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Description Work in close coordination with system admins, system owners and cybersecurity personnel to create/update local policies and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). Ensure the accuracy of the document reflects current Federal, DoD and DHA policies and procedures. Must be capable of understanding and clearly conveying technical information without sacrificing thoroughness and accuracy. Obtain, analyze, and select the pertinent information. Determine a logical and effective sequence for SOP's Preparing the material for publication. Engage in multiply activities simultaneously.   Position Requirements Active DoD Secret clearance is required. Minimum of 5 years consecutive hands-on experience working Cybersecurity tasks/duties in a Computing environment supporting Network based Cybersecurity IAW US Government guidance and policies. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 3+ years of general experience. Minimum of 2 years as a technical writer for government hardware and/or software documentation. Hands-on experience with revision of all IMIT related technical documents, polices, and SOP’s. Current documentation will also require update to comply with DoD RMF and DHA cybersecurity controls and policies?. Excellent writing, grammar, proofreading, editing , and oral communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of applications to include strong competency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) is a must. Strong organizational and time-management skills required. Proficient in developing and presenting, both verbally and in writing, technical information and presentations to non-technical audiences. Strong background in compliance, reporting and tracking.
