Description
  • Plan, install, and maintain all required software on all tiers in coordination with infrastructure support team, and in accordance with established NIH and FISMA enterprise architecture standards, policies, and procedures
  • Provide in-depth knowledge of programming, application development, application architecture, database interfacing, and application support requirements
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure effective recovery from database and application software failures
  • Modify production code (Bug break/fix Management) that no longer functions appropriately as a result of impending implementations or enhancements
  • Assist with understanding how future phases of application redesign fits into business processes or will require Business Process Reengineering due to software re-architecture
  • Leads creation of “as-is” and “to-be” software design models, including Logical Data Models, Business Object Models, Proposed hosting requirements, Capacity Planning with Hardware Scaling Needs, and Test Plans
  • Utilize specialized monitoring tools to ensure the performance, reliability, scalability, availability, manageability, security and recoverability of the development, test and production environments
  • Providing expertise to project teams with regards to design, procurement, testing, implementation and maintenance of complex, high-availability application architectures
  • Follows System Security Plan, Vulnerability Assessment Management Plan, and other security documents when developing new software or updates
  • Works with PM to establish a release strategy and all required documentation to users and other system stakeholders
  • Responsible for coordinating schedule updates with PM and team members
  • Leads development of Physical Data Model with DBA
  • Completes source code artifacts with complete build instructions that can be used in implementation with no source change
  • Ensures User Interface artifacts are Section 508 compliant
  • Overall responsible for ensuring Software Test Scripts are available for all phases of system testing
  • Evaluates feedback from Test Reports and remediates coding issues, and documents updates in appropriate documentation repositories
  • Leads efforts for de-identification of personally identifiable information
 
Position Requirements
  • BS Degree in technical or scientific field or equivalent experience plus 8 years work experience.
  • Strong working experience with ColdFusion version 10 or 11 and ColdBox version 3.x or 4
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, SQL, and LiveLink
  • Good communication and documentation skills
