Description

D3 Air & Space Operations has a contingency openening for a Guardian Angel Training Program Manager at Langley AFB, VA.

Manage the ACC Guardian Angel (GA) weapon system training and Tactical Techniques and Procedures (TTP) program.

Develop standardized requirements for Mission Qualification Training (MQT), Qualification Training Programs (QTPs), or any other courses of instruction derived from the IT2XX Career Field Education Training Program (CFETP) and the 13DX (Acronym) (ITEF).

Support USAF GA Functional Managers to establish GA QTP requirements.

Coordinate with GA user commands to standardize MQT and formal training to maintain Operational Readiness.

Forecast formal training quotas/requirements through Education and Training Course Announcements (ETCA) for Para rescue Jumper (PJ) and Combat Rescue Officer (CRO) including all courses at the GA FTU.

Develop procedures and guidance for training, evaluation and operational employment techniques.

Maintain and update ACCI 10-703 “CAF: Friendly Force Tracking (FFT) Device Control and Accountability: Design, build, manage, and maintain curriculum, courseware, and training plans to support Guardian Angel weapon system and Personnel Recovery (PR) Missions.

Develop annual training requirements, allocate training authorizations, and manage training currency for GA personnel.

Provide GA support to ACC and GA functional leadership to meet the requirements of AFI 10-3502 V1.

Provide coordination/assistance on policy and guidance, manpower actions, training, operational employment, and utilization.

Identify technology requirements and interface with the GA forces and Functional Managers for development of new technologies to meet those requirements.

Determine requirements, create access billet plans, develop Program Access Requests (PARs), and facilitate security investigation process for all personnel requiring access. Coordinate visit requests for secure facilities/programs.

Position Guardian Angel Training Program Manager  
Position Requirements

Possess Bachelor Degree.

Possess a minimum of 3 years’ experience as NAF, MAJCOM or HAF level staff (action officer).

Possess senior aeronautical rating in one of the PR weapons systems (HC-130, HH-60G or CRO).

Minimum of 1500 hours and previously qualified as an Instructor/Evaluator in the HC-130 or HH-60G.

Minimum of 10 years operational background in Air Force rotary-wing operations as a rated Helicopter pilot or enlisted Special Mission Aviator (within the last 5 years) to include five years in Air Force Combat Search and Rescue. (Cannot be the same FTE meeting the 4.7.7.4 or 4.7.7.5 KSA)

Minimum of 5 years PR/Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) operational experience.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience and be highly proficient with Task Management Tool (TMT)

Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Air Mission Commander, Rescue Mission Commander or On Scene Commander responsibilities. Experienced in ACC Rescue FARP operations as specified in AFTTP 3-3.HC-130 and AFI 11-235 FARP site.

Graduate of Course S-V81-A, SERE Specialist Training and possess a minimum of 10 years’ experience as a SERE Specialist.

Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing and supporting PR-related Special Access Programs.

Graduate of the Pararescue and/or Combat Rescue Officer Course.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Pararescue Team Leader or Combat Rescue Officer Team Commander.

Ability to maintain PR-related special access programs (SAPs) and Alternative Compensatory Control

Measures (ACCM) programs for ACC and AF PR.

Minimum of 5 years’ CSAR C2 operational experience.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience of current Air Force PR/CSAR C2 programs developments and initiatives.

Optional Requirement: Possess a minimum of 3 years’ experience with the programming and funding process (PPBE, POM process, ExPlan, SpendPlan).
