Description

Summary: Keeps premises of paint booths and buildings in clean and orderly condition.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Pressure washing the paint booth area to ensure cleanliness. High pressure washing of booths and fixtures.

  • Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.

  • Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas.

  • Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floor.

  • Polishes metalwork.

  • Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork.

  • Washes windows, door panels, and sills.

  • Empties wastebaskets, and empties and cleans ashtrays.

  • Transports trash and waste to disposal area.

  • Replenishes bathroom supplies.

  • Transports small equipment or tools between departments.

  • Use of powered industrial equipment.

  • Ability to work under time constraints and a sense of urgency.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Confined space and work at heights.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience                                                        

Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills                                                                 

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Reasoning Ability                                                             

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
