What are we looking for in a Mental Health Worker/Case Manager?

Mental Health Worker/Case Managers provide care, support, and a safe living environment for individuals residing within our inpatient and residential facilities. Mental Health Worker/Case Managers provide supportive counseling and skills development through individual or group sessions to assist clients with reaching their treatment and recovery goals while preparing to live independently in the community. This position is supported by an interdisciplinary team that includes psychiatric prescribers, nurses, therapists, mental health workers, and other support personnel. In addition, Mental Health Worker/Case Managers will collaborate with the client’s natural and community supports in order to foster healthy choices and independent living.

Mental Health Worker/Case Manager duties may include:

  • collaborating with the client and the treatment team to develop an individualized treatment plan
  • assisting a client with completing and submitting benefit applications
  • facilitating educational, behavioral health, or skill-building groups
  • providing coaching in areas such as nutrition, budgeting, and independent living skills
  • supporting a client with appointments, community events, and daily activities
  • providing daily oversight of medication self-administration and monitoring symptoms & medication response
  • assisting with basic housekeeping, meal planning, and meal preparation
  • completing accurate documentation in a timely manner using a client-centered approach

Competency Restoration Program is a twenty-four bed secure residential treatment program that serves male adults who have, due to a mental illness, been deemed by the court to be unable to aid and assist in court proceedings regarding current pending criminal charges. The goal of this program is to offer residents treatment and educational opportunities in order to prepare them to be able to fully aid and assist in their own defense. Services are provided by a multidisciplinary team with an emphasis on collaboration, and the program uses trauma-informed evidence-based practices that have been proven effective for education and treatment. Schedule (3 positions): Sunday-Wednesday 7am-6pm OR Thursday-Sunday 9am-8pm OR Wednesday-Saturday 11am-10pm

Bridges Evaluation & Treatment Facility is a sixteen-bed facility that serves adults who require inpatient treatment due to an emotional crisis or change in function due to a mental illness. The program provides evaluation, stabilization, and brief treatment for men and women age 18 and older. An integrated, multidisciplinary team of professionals provides individualized treatment and coordinates a comprehensive discharge plan that emphasizes community resources and family support. Schedule: Wednesday-Sunday 11pm-7:30am

Selah Evaluation & Treatment Facility is our newest program, which is set to open April 2019. This new sixteen-bed, secure facility will serve adults who require short-term inpatient treatment due to a crisis or change in function related to mental illness. This program will provide evaluation, stabilization, and brief treatment for adults in a supportive, trauma-informed environment. An integrated, multidisciplinary team of professionals will provide individualized treatment and develop a comprehensive discharge plan that emphasizes family support and community resources. Schedules: 7am-3:30pm OR 3pm-11:30pm OR 11pm-7:30am

 
Position Requirements

Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED.

Credentials: Eligible for Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration

Other Credentials Required: First Aid/CPR Certification, Food Handler's Permit, Driver's License, Vehicle Liability Insurance
