Specific Responsibilities include:

  • Develop annual plans grounded in sound business strategies to achieve both short and long term growth plans.
  • Partner with Insights, R&D, and Culinary to thoroughly understand consumer and market dynamics for the channel and categories. Leverage these learning's into strategies that will drive the business and open up new opportunities.
  • Solution Based Selling; Partner with Sales to understand retail customers go-to-market strategies and growth intiatives, couple with knowledge of Ventura products, flavors, capabilities to recommend solutions that address our customer's needs.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the execution of various projects, including customer specific offerings, line extensions, new products, packaging changes, cost savings initiatives, etc.
  • Develop and execute compelling sales stories, including all consumer trends, sales collateral and package design; develop and track the marketing budget.
  • Become an expert in Private Label product categories and the competitive landscape; lead new business initiatives and bids
  • Support large company wide non-revenue generating projects (e.g. NLEA labeling regulations)
  • Make key accounts calls as needed to support Sales and enhance selling process.

Position Requirements


B.A./B.S. degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA in Marketing preferred.


  • 5-7 years of Foodservice marketing experience.
  • Demonstrated ability and ownership of managing a business
  • Innovation/NPD: Proven experience developing new food products and custom food solutions from concept to activation.
  • Proven track record of “influencing” cross-functionally with key decision makers.
  • Project management experience.
  • Strategic business partner to Sales, Insights, R&D/Culinary
  • Senior Management Exposure: Experience interacting with internal and external high level senior management, comfort in presentation settings
  • Customer Interaction: Experience presenting solutions and recommendations to Customers


  • Highly motivated individual with a proven track record of establishing and meeting financial & business goals.
  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and make decisions with limited supervision and information.
  • Proven strong interpersonal and cross-functional relationship skills
