Job Summary:


The position leads one or more complex, large scale project teams during the full lifecycle to provide guidance and oversight on schedule, process, product, and financials. The role spans engagement with project teams during all phases of the project and interfaces significantly with the user community. The Project Manager will provide oversight for software development and deployment projects, acting as the point-of-contact and centralized management for all members of the project team throughout the project lifecycle. The Project Manager will identify and define all risks and issues with assigned projects and provide leadership with visibility to support their resolution.

Duties and Responsibilities:


•Manages one or more large-scale IT projects from beginning to end. The projects may include development, deployment, infrastructure with complexity around technology, cross-functional dependencies, and multiple stakeholders across various business units.
•Defines project scope, charter, goals and deliverables in support of business goals and works with senior leadership and stakeholders for approvals.
•Ensures that projects are completed on time and meet all business and system requirements. Conducts all project management tasks to ensure schedule, cost, and quality goals.
•Ensures project scope and requirements are well documented and managed properly throughout the delivery cycle of the project.
•Develops project plans, schedule and work breakdown structure for projects
•Communicates project status, progress on deliverables, and risks/issues to stakeholders and CIO in a timely manner
• Discusses and prioritizes project issues with the project team, and provides help/support to the project team as required.
• Works with developers and contractors to ensure appropriate project staffing and resource plan.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams including architects, software engineers, developers, technical leads, and business users to ensure timely delivery of project.
• Identifies and resolves conflicts within the project team and/or leadership.
• Maintains project tracking and provides status reports to the CIO
• Adheres to change management processes during the project lifecycle.
• Ensures compliance with project deliverables, and project financial accounting.
• May manage other project managers or business analysts.


 
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in technical discipline preferred or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum four years in a business environment
  • Proven in-depth knowledge of project management disciplines (e.g. PMBOK, Schedule, Scope, Quality, HR, Communications etc.,).
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager on large-scale projects with a successful project delivery record.
  • Proven experience in managing projects leveraging different software development methodologies.
  • Proven experience in managing projects in a multi-stakeholder and cross-functional environment.
  • Experience in measuring project success factors with respect to cost, schedule and quality, meeting requirements, product quality, test quality, and code quality.
  • Practical experience with requirements and test case development.
  • CRM (preferably Microsoft Dynamics CRM) deployment a plus
  • Sharepoint deployment a plus
  • ERP experience required (preferably Microsoft Dynamics GP)
  • Strong experience interacting with business users and managing expectations.
  • Experience working in a multi-contractor environment.
  • Ability to work with Business teams and business leads to estimate cost and negotiate requirements to minimize project impact.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Flexible with a strong ability to shift direction quickly and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Available to work evenings and weekends as needed to meet deadline.
