Description

SUMMARY

To participate in the CAD Design initiatives. This will include all aspects of the CAD Design process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Use creativity to come up with unique CAD solutions to engineering and design problems
  • Design layouts, assemblies, and detail drawings using SolidWorks
  • Reverse engineer small assemblies and parts
  • Convert customer designs into SolidWorks CAD package
  • Communicate design concerns and status to both customers and Perception Engineering Team
  • Act as a key member of the team to include development and implementation of culture, strategy, policies, procedures, and process improvement procedures
  • Manage multiple projects at once in an organized and detailed manner
  • Utilize Microsoft Office as a project management tool
  • Create 2D drawings of 3D models
  • Utilize ERP Software (Epicor) to record and verify part numbers and assemblies.
  • Provide outsource suppliers with the correct data and file formats needed to complete and all projects

 
Position Requirements

Education and/or Experience

  • Tooling and Manufacturing Technology Associates Degree or Certification required.
  • 2+ years of SolidWorks experience required.
  • Understanding of product development, machine design, reverse engineering and engineering support preferred
  • A collaborative partner who is capable of and willing to work with peers and company leadership to foster an organization with World Class standard operating practices and quality systems

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations – Professional Engineering(PE) License preferred.
