Fall Protection Repair Technician -

Join the DiVal Safety Equipment team in our Buffalo, NY headquarters as a member of our fast paced and dynamic team. The focus of this position is inspecting and repairing life-saving equipment (fall protection devices).

Duties and Responsibilities -

  • Focus on Safety at all times - Safety training and direction must be adhered to at all times.
  • Resolve and report any existing or potential safety concerns.
  • Inspect, repair and / or subcontract out fall protection devices.
  • Responsible for cleanliness and organization of the department shop.
  • Coordinate subcontracts and warranty repair orders
  • Set-up new items and vendors in the system
  • Complete daily workload within defined timelines set by management,
  • Contact customers and/or Sales Reps to verify account information
  • Work as part of a team with co-workers, sales and management
  • Perform general data entry functions in addition to those listed above
  • Contact customers to obtain repair approval
  • Communicate with sales reps and vendors
  • Accurately direct incoming phone calls and e-mails to the appropriate department
  • Must maintain a positive attitude

Skills and Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organizational and time management skills a must
  • Attention to detail a must
  • Microsoft Office and Microsoft Dynamics (CRM) and AS400 experience preferred
  • High School diploma / GED equivalent with 1-3 years prior customer service experience a plus
  • Contractor and mechanical background preferred
