Purpose LaForce is looking for a Project Accountant to be responsible for utilizing invoicing programs to perform billing duties, collect billings from customers, and reconcile contract amounts during closeout on jobs. Major Responsibilities Ensure lien waivers are properly completed and sent out in a timely manner. Knowledge of specific state lien laws and perform lien tracking for assigned projects. Resolve problem jobs, perform lien right closeout procedures and perform stop ship/rider procedures, and bond claims. Review gross margin, profitability, and inventory of contract projects. Perform journal entries as needed to account properly for billing changes or adjustments. Qualifications and Requirements Associate's Degree from a two-year college or Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as multi-level discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
