Koniag Technology Solutions is seeking a Mid level Construction Project Manager - Electrical to work with our client in the Washington, DC area. This position requires a TOP SECRET CLEARANCE.

This is a direct, full time position supporting KTS and our government client.

The Mid level Construction Project Manager – Electrical will support FBI related projects, to include but not limited to construction, design/build, architecture and engineering, space management, facilities management, real estate, and leasing of large and complex construction projects. This position description provides a baseline of technical areas for the Mid level Construction Project Manager; however, this list does not restrict performance requested on other related assignments.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

The general responsibilities of the Mid Level Construction Project Manager – Electrical are as follows, to include but not limited to:

  • As required, provide on-site construction management support during mobilization, site preparation, construction, fit-out, commissioning and occupancy.
  • Assists the assigned Program Manager and/or COR, Senior Construction Project Manager and Construction Project Manager in the planning, management direction, project completion, client satisfaction, and financial outcome of assigned construction projects.
  • Interfaces with clients to define project requirements. Majority of issues are tenant improvements and finishes.
  • Monitors all phases of construction including design, compliance, construction, occupancy, quality control, staffing, and budget management.
  • Assists in the coordination of various events in the planning, ordering, installation and follow-on life cycle.
  • Participates in coordinating the personnel and resources required to complete the project.
  • Assists with managing paperwork and multiple projects, maintains, and updates status logs, and contributes to progress reports produced for clients.
  • Assists in the development of Statements of Work (SOWs), cost estimates and budgets, timelines and schedules, follows-up on pre-installation activities, prepares reports for Project Managers on the status of all services provided for specific technology projects, coordinates and assists in the development of electronic and written materials for project management proposals, presentations, and status updates.
  • Reviews schedule, and aligns project work plan and deadlines with requirements.
  • Monitors on-site processes, procedures, and systems for compliance with construction drawings, security requirements, and code compliance.
  • Assists PM in tracking progress of project against goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets.
  • Facilitates client meetings regarding project matters.
  • Works closely with other functional areas of the organization, project contractors, internal team members, external collaborators, customers and suppliers.
  • Conducts customer satisfaction assessments electronically, by phone and/or in person, uses computer applications such as spreadsheets, word processing, calendar, and e-mail and database software in performing work assignments.
  • Assists the PM in coordinating all contractual requirements, design drawings, and project specifications that include but are not limited to: On-site Project Management, Earned Value Management and Project Controls, Contractor Billings, weekly meetings, meeting minutes and documentation, project monthly report generation, change management reports, contract administration, punch-list management, warranty review and procurement, as-built document procurement.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Position Requirements
The Mid level Construction Program Manager must have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from ABET accredited school or Bachelor of Science in Construction (BSC) degree from an accredited (American Council for Construction Education or ABET) engineering school.
  • Knowledge of building codes related to mechanical and plumbing infrastructure.
  • Relevant experience in mechanical engineering aspects of design and construction phases.?
  • Top Secret Clearance
