SUCCESS FACTORS:

The main objectives for the Test Engineer are the development of acceptable qualification test plans, procedures, and reports while conducting successful hardware qualification test activities. Additionally, provide support to design engineering in conducting hardware development tests and evaluation of test data.

  • Perform primary role in assisting the management and operation of an A2LA accredited EMI lab. Ensure the lab maintains an accredited lab status. Manage lab resources and activities supporting A2LA accredited lab status. Cleary and frequently communicate the status of accreditation related activities and issues to lab management. These elements should be in place within 90 days of employment. Success will be measured from feedback received by Program Managers and Design Engineers where 80% of the sampling shows a demonstrated ability of meeting these expectations.

  • Develop and maintain acceptable guidelines, procedures, and reports in support of accredited lab activities as dictated by the Astronics Quality Manual. Work closely with Astronics QA and Calibration departments to ensure collaborative activities with the EMI lab. This element should be in place within 180 days of employment. Success will be measured by either feedback received from Program Managers and Design Engineers where 80% of the sampling shows a demonstrated ability of meeting these expectations or acceptance of Plan/Procedure by the customer.

  • Support secondary role as EMI chamber operator for both Redmond and Kirkland facilities. This includes running lab equipment, assisting in troubleshooting of outages, providing data sheets and test reports to lab customers, performing regularly scheduled maintenance and calibration activities. This element should be in place within 270 days of employment. Success will be measured from feedback received by Program Managers where 80% of the sampling shows a demonstrated ability of meeting these expectations.

  • Promote communication, customer relationships, continuous improvement, and a professional attitude that supports Astronics Values and Behaviors. This element should be in place within 90 days of employment. Success will be measured from feedback received by Program Managers and Design Engineers where 80% of the sampling shows a demonstrated ability of meeting these expectations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in engineering or other technical discipline preferred and five years related experience.
