Description

The Building Mechanic performs tasks in support of maintenance and repair of buildings and related facilities and equipment. This position requires working independently on routine maintenance and assisting other trades on projects and job assignments. Work involves minor maintenance as it relates to Electric, Plumbing, Carpentry, Painting, HVAC, and Doors/Hardware.

 
Position Requirements
  • Must have 2-4 years’ experience in the building trades or related fields.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of the use of common and portable hand tools.
  • Ability to operate automotive trucks, lift trucks and man lifts.
  • Ability to lift/carry items over 50 lbs. - roof shingles, floor tiles, office furniture, etc.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, to climb ladders, and to work from elevated platforms and rooftops.
  • Must work holidays and special events as needed.
