We are expanding our U.S. Finance team and are looking for a Controller who wants to be a key contributor to ObjectFrontier's continued growth. The Controller must have a strong understanding of all functions of a typical accounting department. The candidate should have the expertise necessary to maintain all financial aspects of the Company, including meeting with bankers, tax advisors and auditors. The ideal candidate should have experience establishing and executing internal financial controls, implementing processes and guidelines and administering financial plans and reports.
Oversee/manage monthly close process, including review of bank reconciliations, loan schedules, amortization, etc.
Manage and monitor cash flow, including forecasting receivables, managing payables, inventory purchases, etc.
Prepare management and statutory reports, including monthly financial analyses, comparative reports of GAAP operating results, EBITDA, financial position and variance explanations, against prior year and budget.
Negotiate and manage vendor and banking contracts and relationships.
Oversee semi-monthly payroll function for U.S. employees.
Provide accurate, timely and reliable financial data through efficient, consistent systems and processes.
Seek out and make recommendations for improvements in all aspects of the department.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, bank/loan covenants, government and tax regulations, aligning to U.S. and international accounting and auditing guidelines.
Coordinate and manage audits.
Prepare monthly and annual budgets for all U.S. business units.
Collaborate with leadership to make proactive decisions in managing the business.
Act as a conduit of knowledge to executive management and finance team members for any financial matters that arise.
Lead supporting team members through employee development, measurement of results vs. objectives and coaching and feedback.
Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting or Finance.
7-10 years of applicable experience.
Solid coaching and leadership skills.
Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with coworkers, clients, members, providers and customers.
Excellent oral/written communication skills including the ability to clearly translate and effectively communicate issues which effect business opportunities, problems, efficiency and compliance with all financial requirements.
Proficient critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to recognize subtle issues and provide analysis leading to business efficiencies, cost avoidance and/or profit maximization while maintaining financial compliance and controls.
Highest level of integrity.
Ability to work with deadlines and handle confidential matters with discretion.
Advanced Excel capabilities; experience with QuickBooks or like accounting platform.
