Position Summary:

Philabundance is seeking a Development Coordinator to support the Chief Development Officer in all department activities that drive our success. This is a multifaceted role that will challenge you to manage a full range of administrative activities while also working with frontline fundraisers. Specific Responsibilities:

  • Perform frontline donor relations functions inlcuding phone reception, email, donations, written correspondence and responding to general donor inquiries.
  • Maintain general correspondence for CDO and the Development Department.
  • Coordinate weekly departmental meetings including agendas and presentations.
  • Assist with donor and prospect research; prepare donor briefings and maintain proper actions and follow up in Raiser's Edge.
  • Facilitate coding, handling and tracking of restricted and major gifts.
  • Develop and maintain systems and materials to track organization-wide travel, Planned Giving records and donor appreciation.
  • Assist CDO in scheduling and confirming appointments, maintaining standard meetings and alerting to conflicts and overlaps.
  • Schedule and prepare CDO for calls and meetings.
  • Manage departmental invoice and check request functions along with expense budget tracking.
  • Assist Development officers with stewardship activities.
  • Participate in Development events, activities and training.
  • Assist in the management of matching gifts program.
  • Compile and assist with list management, create and distribute departmental and board reports and coordinate bulk mailings.
  • Assist with grant administration and narrative for low-level local and national foundations.
  • Provide general office support including copying, hardcopy filing, and MagicFolder maintenance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 2 years of experience as an administrative assistant or coordinator working extensively with Microsoft Office products, including Excel
  • Preference given for experience with Raiser’s Edge and fundraising activities.
  • Experience working independently and as part of a team.
  • Advanced knowledge of Raiser’s Edge (or other donor database) strongly preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

  • Expertise with software including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Prezi.

  • Strong familiarity with Raiser’s Edge.
