Sales Account Executive

Under the direction of the Vice President of Sales the Sales Account Executive will promote the sale of Kitchen products (cookies, boxed lunches, catering services, kitchen rental and vending services). The incumbent is responsible for developing new prospects and interact with existing customers to maintain and maximize sales volume. Expected to set goals, meet or exceed monthly budgeted sales numbers with required margins, the Sales Account Executive must be a self-motivator. Excellent customer service is a must, ensuring customer satisfaction, resulting in increased contract opportunities.

  2. Reinforce and positively engage in Opportunity Village’s organizational culture supporting choice and creativity of OVIPs (Opportunity Village Important People) and of staff.
  3. Prospecting and funnel development.
  4. Identifying and qualifying prospects.
  5. Market research.
  6. Cold calling.
  7. RFP support.
  8. Forecasting business opportunities.
  9. Creation of sales presentations, proposals and related documents.
  10. Presents and negotiates proposals to prospective customers.
  11. Price setting, in coordination with operations, for services.
  12. Service existing accounts as necessary and maintains customer satisfaction.
  13. Promoting the sale of Business to Business services (Kitchen Products)
  14. Works with Marketing Department on PR and advertising/marketing efforts.
  15. Attends seminars and joins trade organizations in these fields to network and learn.
  16. Speaks at applicable events to promote services.
  17. Attends meetings and training sessions as directed.
  18. Continual learning and education in these fields to stay on top of industry changes.
  19. Cross sells other lines of business where applicable.
  20. Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements


  • Excellent ability to communicate effectively with individuals, co-workers and supervisors (verbal and written).
  • Must possess social perceptiveness to assess and understand other’s reactions and behaviors.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Personable and demonstrates positive interaction with diverse groups of personalities.
  • Public speaking ability for both small and large groups.
  • Database Management.


  • Required: Associates Degree or higher in Sales, Marketing, Business, Psychology or Communications or equivalent experience.
  • Required: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Database, and Outlook)
  • Required: Three (3) years verifiable work experience in Business to Business sales.
  • Required: Reliable transportation to various OV and account sites.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of CRM sales tracking software
  • Preferred: Knowledge of the catering services

  • Manual dexterity to operate office equipment and examine documents, records and files.
