Position Overview:

The Retail Training Store Manager (RTSM) thrives in a dynamic and high energy environment. The position directs daily activities of store operations to grow revenue drive standards of excellence and maintain established processes to ensure outstanding customer service. The RTSM would lead the sales team to success and motivate the group to learn, grow, and build an exciting career. This position will be responsible to collaborate with training to facilitate sales training to newly- hired sales representatives and leaders in the organization. The goal of the RTSM role is to lead and train a winning sales team.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment, retention and constant development of the sales team and other store leaders are critical responsibilities of this role.
  • Perform a variety of management functions including: driving sales, achieving store productivity/financial targets, planning and executing promotional and local store marketing activities, maintaining operational processes, inventory management, protecting of the company's assets, merchandising integrity, overall facility cleanliness and maintenance, and completing HR responsibilities.
  • Facilitate Sales readiness new hire training and other sales and product-related workshops as needed.
  • Responsible for full operation of retail store including opening, closing, staffing, cash and inventory.
  • Expectations are that 80% of business hours are spent on the sales floor greeting customers, coaching employees and running the business where it matters most-close to the customer.
  • Drive sales, service and operations of the location-'own' the business.
  • Establish and exceed organizational performance and individual performance goals.
  • Drive and maintain solid operational processes, inventory management and inventory rationalization, planogram and merchandising integrity and overall facility cleanliness and maintenance.
  • Complete duties and provide leadership designed to deliver high levels of service to customers within the framework of established company policies.
  • Recruit sales staff on an ongoing basis.
  • Get to know team members - their strengths and weaknesses, aspirations and goals, background and experience - and use that knowledge to help them succeed.
  • Adhere to strong documentation guidelines as outlined in the progressive discipline process.
  • Role-play with team to help them sharpen their skills and learn to deal with challenging situations.
  • Provide informal coaching and support during the course of any given day. Assist and support store associates in all aspects of sales and customer service as required.
 
Position Requirements

 

Job Requirements:

  • Qualifications: 2-3 years of management experience in retail or another environment with a strong customer focus.
  • College degree is preferred, HS diploma or GED required
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills required.
  • Strong organizational skills required.
  • Competent in customer focus, change & innovation, strategic thinking, relationship building and influencing, talent management and inspirational leadership.
  • Working knowledge of cellular/paging/PCS/advanced wireless communication preferred. Working knowledge of PC Windows’s applications (Excel and Word) required.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
  • May require additional tasks, duties or projects as assigned.
