SUMMARY OF POSITION

The EDI/Integration Analyst improves the efficiency of operating information systems and the quality, security, and integrity of data that a company shares with business partners by implementing, supporting, and maintaining Shurtape’s Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) solutions, including all EDI partners (customers, vendors, and freight carriers).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responds to customer requirements for EDI/Integration as needed
  • Supports all Shurtape/ShurTech Departments utilizing EDI/Integration Technology
  • Implements and maintains EDI maps in Sterling Integrator (SI)
  • Implements and maintains business processes in SI
  • Implements and maintains user exits in ABAP
  • Implements and maintains EDI/Integration communications
  • Creates and maintains documentation for EDI processes
  • Responds to Help Desk requests on a case-by-case basis
  • Performs duties on Daily Operations Checklist
  • Performs any other duties assigned by EDI/Integration Manager

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Information Systems, Business, Operations Management or congruent experience
  • Working knowledge of SI
  • Working knowledge of SAP EDI
  • Working knowledge of SAP ABAP
  • Working knowledge of EDIFACT/X.12
  • Working knowledge of Software AG WebMethods
  • Working knowledge of business processes
  • Working knowledge of internet communications (HTTP, SFTP, AS2, etc.)
  • Interpersonal skills; ability to effective communicate with customers and colleagues
  • Ability to work independently

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
