Category Banking  

The MobiCU Branch Manager is responsible for all operations associated with the mobile branch that will serve members and potential members at various Select Employer Groups (SEGs), Stanford and Palo Alto Community events.

Risk and Security Management

  • Insure the Mobile Branch is set up in a secure location and secured upon leaving for the evening
  • Maintains all service maintenance for the mobile branch, including gas and regularly scheduled maintenance
  • Directs and coordinates activities to implement institution’s policies, procedures, and practices concerning branch operations
  • As the safety officer, ensure safety and security information is being communicated to assigned staff
  • Required to drive, set-up, and tear down mobile facility.
  • Responsible for insuring anyone who drives MobiCU is licensed and all drivers must obey California driving laws. You will immediately report any maintenance needs to facilities

Strategic and Developmental

  • Directs staffing, training, coaching, and Employee Performance Plans to develop and control the branch’s sales program
  • Responsible for the development and accomplishment of an annual operating plan and budget results consistent with the overall strategic plan of the Credit Union.
  • Responsible for the direction and formation of the service culture for the staff focusing on cross-selling products and services that would best suit members’ financial needs
  • Prepares periodic reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of member education and relationship management

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Supervises 1-2 employees in the Mobile Branch
  • Sets the example and also assists employees in providing high quality service to members
  • Is responsible for serving as a source of product knowledge, Credit Union operating procedures and job family knowledge, in order to perform backup duties for Branch positions, and to provide information to staff


  • Works closely with the supervisor to keep the mobile branch in the field, staffed and highly visible.
  • Tracks and documents all leads, prospective members, referrals and sales activities within tracking tools available
  • Coordinate onsite events held at SEGs or within the Community.
  • Prospects opportunities by online research, onsite visits, networking, and attending community events
  • Nurture relationship with existing Select Employee Groups (SEGs) to maximize opportunities to access their employees and co brand as an employee benefit package.

Position Requirements


Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience


Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Communication Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organizations.


Must be willing to become Notary, Medallion and Signature Guarantee.
May be required to get an enhanced driver’s license to drive the mobile branch.

Computer Skills

Must have personal computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Physical Requirements

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 – 40 pounds.

Ability to drive the SFCU mobile branch (22’ to 39’) from location to location, anchor it and set up the stairs and awnings.

This position is for a mobile branch and the employee filling this position should be flexible with their work schedule. This position will likely work many weekends each month and have nontraditional branch hours.
