MobiCU is Stanford Federal Credit Union's mobile "branch". The MobiCU Manager is responsible for ensuring that MobiCU provides a positive and dynamic experience at community events and Select Employer Group (SEG) visits. The Manager will ensure the success of each event through detailed planning, training and communication. The Manager will supervise three direct reports, and up to eight volunteers at each event. The Manager will be responsible for account opening, ordering supplies, and scheduling direct reports to local branches when they are not attending events. The Manager must be flexible to attend all events, many of which take place evenings and weekends.

Marketing/Business Development

  • Identify opportunities for MobiCU to attend community and Stanford University events, and ensure robust brand building

  • Research Stanford University event opportunities through online calendars, department calendars, etc.

  • Research Palo Alto Chamber of Commerce for community events (e.g., website, attend networking events, collaborate with Chamber staff)

  • Maintain up-to-date MobiCU schedule of events and SEG visits

  • Maintain supplies, marketing materials, brochures and giveaway items; request items as needed

  • Work with Business Development and Marketing to develop marketing campaigns to support specific sales strategies for MobiCU

  • Set sales/product goals for each event and weekly SEG visits

  • Coordinate onsite MobiCU activities/games for attendee participation at events

  • Collaborate with Business Development to promote specific products, plan special awareness days, etc. at SEGs (e.g., Mortgage Day with Loan Officers onsite, Meet Your Investment Advisor Day, etc.)

  • Communicate with Business Development and/or appropriate contacts at SEGs regarding any interruption of a scheduled visit

  • Track and document all leads, prospective members, referrals and sales activities

  • Nurture relationship with existing SEGs to maximize opportunities to access their employees and co-brand as an employee benefit

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Supervise three direct reports and up to eight volunteers at events

  • Collaborate with the Director of Business Development and the Director of Branch Member Experience & Retail Operations to recruit and schedule volunteers for all events

  • Coordinate staff/volunteers, create shift schedules for all events

  • Coach/mentor staff and volunteers, set expectations for duties during events

  • Direct staffing, training, coaching, and Employee Performance Plans to develop and control MobiCU's sales program

  • Set the example, and assist employees in providing high quality service to members

  • Maintain knowledge of Credit Union operating procedures and products in order to perform backup duties for Branch positions, and to provide information to staff

Strategic and Developmental

  • Responsible for the development and accomplishment of an annual operating plan and budget consistent with the overall strategic plan of the Credit Union

  • Responsible for ensuring that all visitors to MobiCU enjoy a positive and unique experience, and receive high quality service

  • Responsible for the direction and formation of the service culture for the staff, focusing on cross-selling products and services that would best suit members’ financial needs

  • Prepare periodic reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of member education and relationship management

Risk and Security Management

  • Ensure that MobiCU is set up in a secure location and secured upon leaving for the evening

  • Maintain all service maintenance for MobiCU, including gas and regularly scheduled maintenance; immediately report any maintenance needs to facilities

  • Direct and coordinate activities to implement the Credit Union's policies, procedures, and practices concerning branch operations

  • As the safety officer, ensure safety and security information is being communicated to assigned staff

  • Drive, set-up, and tear-down MobiCU; schedule appropriately-trained staff when unavailable

  • Ensure that anyone who drives MobiCU is licensed, and all drivers must obey California driving laws

Position Requirements
  • Minimum two years of customer-facing experience at a financial institution

  • Minimum two years of management experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

  • Experience volunteering or working at community events

  • Excellent verbal and written communications

  • Detail oriented and highly organized

  • Experience achieving sales goals

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends

  • Ability to lift at least 30 lbs.

  • Valid California driver's license and insurance
