Clinical Therapist - Addiction Program, Full-Time

Description

We are searching for a licensed therapist to work within an outpatient setting at one of Pine Rest’s clinics located at our main campus in Grand Rapids. This specific position is with the addiction medicine program so a CAADC with previous experience is required. Ideally we are looking for a Therapist who has previous experience and enjoys working with adults and their families, since this will be a focus of this role.


Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Evaluates bio-psycho-social needs of patients entering services and selects and completes appropriate therapeutic interventions based upon clinical knowledge base and educational background (to include individual, group, and family modalities).
  • Completes resource and discharge planning for patients at all levels of care based upon specific knowledge of case management skills, which are part of training and educational background.
  • Collaborates with other treatment team members regarding patients’ progress through interdisciplinary team meetings, record review, and informal discussions as well as ensures that medical record documentation protocols are complied with.
  • Ensures that patients’ progress notes are entered into the medical records on a timely basis and in accordance with established organizational and departmental procedures and may also provide psychometric testing.

 
Position Requirements

Required & Desired Qualifications:

  • Michigan licensed LMSW or LPC
  • Those who are not yet licensed, but who are working toward their license, are also free to apply and may be considered.
  • CAADC is required.
  • Child and adolescent training, experience and interest.
  • Must have excellent computer and documentation skills to manage an electronic medical record.
  • Along with child and adolescent specialty skills, must have excellent generalist clinical skills.
  • Must be comfortable working in a performance based system.

About the Organization Pine Rest is a nonprofit, free standing, behavioral health system founded in 1910 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This comprehensive behavioral health center, coupled with the Pine Rest network of 18 outpatient clinics and satellite offices in Michigan and Iowa, provide individualized and group therapy for people of all ages and all levels of need. Pine Rest clinicians offer therapeutic services in behavioral health for people of all ages and all levels of need across the continuum of care within a Christian framework.





Pine Rest has a 198-bed inpatient hospital program with a 36-bed child and adolescent inpatient and a large partial hospital program for adolescents. Additionally, Pine Rest has many inpatient services for adults, including: four 22-bed adult inpatient units each designed for a different level of acuity, a 22-bed co-occurring substance use disorder adult inpatient unit, a large adult partial hospital program, and a 26-bed older adult inpatient unit.





The Pine Rest Community and Residential Services Division also provides a wide array of services. With over 220 residential beds across a variety of programs, including treatment for substance use disorders, homes for adults with intellectual and developmental disorders, adults with mental illness, and a program for youth aged 11-18 with extensive trauma histories focusing on trauma treatment and life skills programming.





The Pine Rest Behavioral Health Solutions Division partners with behavioral health and medical organizations to increase access to psychiatry services and to provide a continuum of behavioral health and telepsychiatry services throughout many communities across the State of Michigan.
