This technical role will work closely with IT, other Enterprise Data and Analytics capabilities, broader business team(s), and 3rd party partners to manage and develop Embrace Home Loans' CRM (Salesforce) environment as strategic capabilities.

The Salesforce Administrator/Developer will work as part of the team dedicated to ensuring that we are maximizing efficiency and capitalizing on the full features and benefits of the system based on the various user group needs. We are seeking someone with excellent technical and communication skills who can interface directly with internal stakeholders to understand their needs in order to administer and enhance the system accordingly. This person will serve as the "go to" for users, promote adoption, keep current on new releases and AppExchange solutions, provide training, and more. This is a senior level technical position who will mentor and work with other junior level administrators in performing updates, implement customizations, and helping to guide decisions for architecting the best technical approach and solutions for solving business issues, such as determining whether adoption by EHL users is best supported by customizations achieved through SF configuration, custom development or acquisition and integration with commercially available solutions in the marketplace.


  • Perform hands-on technical implementation, with a focus on delivering functional solutions.
  • Coordinate with other technical team members in the design, implementation, deployment and documentation of initiatives that leverage the toolset to enhance and extend functional capabilities of the CRM environment.
  • Serve as a contributing subject matter expert on the technical team for solution architecture that would include configuration, development, integration and customization of complex environments.
  • Facilitate and lead EHL's change management forum designed to review and approve proposed system modifications, and recommend the best way to implement. This forum may involve System Integration partner participation as a managed service and other internal structures, i.e., IT Help desk.
  • Will serve as technical lead for specific projects.
  • Liaise directly with the EHL Advisory Committee, formed to solicit ongoing business practice input for prioritizing enhancements to our ecosystem that ensure operational harmony, including understanding end user functional needs and the changing roadmaps of SF and companion technologies in order to determine the best technical approach.
  • Document and develop code according to specifications and standards.
  • Prepare test data, plan and conduct unit or module testing, fix defects.
  • Provide support for end-user quality assurance and user acceptance testing and defect resolution.
  • Participate in project team meetings and communicate effectively with technical peers, architects, system analysts, business analysts, project managers, quality control, and across other technology team boundaries, reporting project status as required.
  • May be required to be on call to provide support on an as-needed basis.

Position Requirements

The successful Candidate will have direct technical experience in CRM, particularly Salesforce. He/she will have direct appreciation for CRM applications in sales, marketing and customer service.

  • 5+ years’ of system administrator or development experience working with Salesforce (Apex and Visual force) in Financial Services, consumer lending a plus.
  • Minimally, an experienced System Administrator transitioning to a developer role and with at least 1 year of development experience as part of career progression toward becoming a SFDC developer.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce declarative Programming and Administration (i.e. develop code, custom objects, Visual Force pages, Apex, reports, workflows and assignment rules, etc.)
  • Experience in project / process, and an understanding of Agile principles.
  • Working knowledge of data management and data quality techniques and processes.
  • One or more Salesforce certifications demonstrating current knowledge as a developer.
  • Experience developing software solutions using MS tools, API framework, and 3rd party APIs.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher, in Computer Science or related field, and/or commensurate work experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel.
  • Understanding of web and cloud technologies (i.e. HTTP, JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, DHTML, CSS.) Familiarity of SQL and understanding of databases.
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming language (i.e. Java, C#, C++).
