Regional Account Manager 


The Regional Account Manager is responsible for the lead generation and cold calling activities to identify and qualify prospects within their region to consistently and profitably grow sales each year. The Regional Account Manager will take ownership of all aspects of progressing a sale, which includes discovery, articulating to our customers’ technical, management and executive staff the advantages of Vectorworks product(s) and how best to deploy the solutions we are proposing. The role will be responsible for creating and driving new business within a specified region through smart prospecting and networking as well as developing a strategic territory plan, executing against it through effective pipeline management and meeting/exceeding sales goals.

On a daily basis you should expect to:

  • Identify, obtain information and qualify prospects that are candidates for company-offered technologies
  • Manage accounts by calling on customers, particularly major accounts
  • Develop and support specifications through superior project management practices
  • Foster/enhance customer relationships as well as focus on further market penetration
  • Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and other projections as required
  • Keep senior management informed of economic, competitive, and other factors affecting the region with recommendations for improvements/changes
  • Participate and assist in national and local events/tradeshows
Position Requirements

You would be a great fit for this role if you have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent amount of sales experience.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of sales experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with or understanding of Architectural Design process required
  • Experience calling on designers, architects, engineers, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Superior sales ability including excellent negotiation, presentation and communication skills, along with a successful track record with sales assignments; experience selling specification and/or technical type products
  • Provided technical sales support which may include: collaborating with Vectorworks sales team and Industry Specialists to define, design, and detail the technical aspects and feasibility of proposed solutions
  • Previous experience developing business relationships with customers
