Description

Communications and Marketing Coordinator

Department: Administration

FLSA Status: Exempt

Job Status: Full Time

Schedule: 9am- 5pm

Reports to: Legal Director

Travel: > 5%

The Communications and Marketing Coordinator responsibilities include creating and managing a robust marketing program to raise awareness of DRNY across the State. The Communications and Marketing Coordinator sustains a fundraising plan to support DRNY's advocacy efforts.

Essential Functions

The Communications and Marketing Coordinator performs a wide range of duties, including the following:

  • Develop and implement fundraising campaigns to maximize DRNY's opportunities and future ventures;

  • Manage marketing for special events, including coordinating advertising for conferences and expos;

  • Conduct outreach to raise awareness and build relationships;

  • Organize donations and create relationships with donors;

  • Maintain DRNY's social media accounts and website;

  • Draft press releases and media alerts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required;

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;

  • Ability to multi-task with a strong attention to detail;

  • Experience working in a not-for profit organization;

  • Strong networking and demonstrated fundraising skills;

  • Experience organizing special events;

  • Strong communication and social media skills;

  • Ability to work with a diverse group of people.

Working Conditions

The Communications and Marketing Coordinator usually work in an office environment, but the position also requires travel within and outside of New York State.
