At Shurtape Technologies we believe in securing the future of the company by developing talented people in operations. To support this, we have developed a management training program designed to train recent college graduates on Shurtape's products, systems, people, and unique culture. A Management Trainee can expect a diverse working experience in the first five to six years of employment rotating through departments, facilities, and roles. It is expected the Management Trainee will rotate through at least three of the following departments:

  1. Manufacturing

  2. Environemental Health & Safety

  3. Process Engineering

  4. Manufacturing Engineering

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned)

  • Gains an understanding of the products, systems and people within the assigned department. At the conclusion of the assignment the successful trainee should have a thorough understanding of how the department works and how it contributes to Shurtape's overall business

  • Works under the direction of a manager within the selected department

  • Supports assigned department as necessary. Responsibilities can vary from project work to data analysis to supervisory functions. The responsibilities facilitate the understanding of the basic operations and functions of the assigned department

  • Learn about and participate in the Shurtape culture through attending meetings, training and development sessions and getting involved in sponsored activities

  • Completes the education program for technical and supervisory employees

Position Requirements


  • Recent college graduate with either a BS or Master’s degree in an engineering discipline

  • Proven job skills obtained through meaningful internship experience

  • Proven leadership skills obtained through extracurricular activities during collegiate experience

  • Excellent communication (verbal and listening) and interpersonal skills

  • Team oriented and creative.Ability to interact with all employees

  • Exhibits a high degree of professionalism

  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook are required

  • Works well under pressure and dealing with multiple responsibilities


  • Ability to work in front of a laptop or PC workstation for extended periods of time

  • Standing or walking for extended periods of time
