This position requires a strong background in reading and interpreting radiographic and ultrasonic NDT data and submitting detailed reports. This position also requires strong training and development skills. This position is part time with varying hours per week depending on need. Specific requirements include: Provide NDT Level III services to Indian Head, MD and various remote sites to be determined. NDT Level III services to include the following: Read and interpret radiographic ultrasonic data. Represent IHD as their Responsible Level III in accordance with NAS-410-2. Audit NDT operations (procedural, equipment and performance) for compliance to the applicable specifications and standards. Assist in the auditing of supplier facilities for compliance to the applicable specifications, standards and purchase order requirements. Provide classroom training to NDT Trainees and Level I/II/III Inspectors. Provide hands-on training to NDT Trainees and Level I/II/III Inspectors Provide additional training to RT Inspectors to meet new proposed RASO requirements. Review and interpret the codes, standards and other contractual documents utilized by IHD. Preparation and verification of NDT method procedures for the Radiographic, Ultrasonic, Magnetic Particle, Penetrant and Eddy Current methods. Conduct NDT evaluations at remote sites on a case by case basis.
