Category Lending  

The Residential Lending Loan Processor is responsible for the processing of incoming mortgage loans from initial application through funding. Responsibilities include direct communication with members and 3rd party vendors to request, collect, verify and perform an accurate analysis of related mortgage loan documents in order to prepare file for initial and final underwrite. Familiarity and direct work experience with TRID disclosure requirements and general working knowledge of FNMA guidelines is essential for this position. Upon receipt of final approval, the Loan Processor will be responsible for preparing loan documents to be signed by members. You will work closely with a highly motivated and energetic team of Loan Officers, other Loan Processors, Underwriters and Funders throughout the loan transaction in order to help ensure we are effectively meeting deadlines and providing outstanding service to our members. Ability to effectively prioritize daily workload, manage a large volume of work and thrive working in a fast paced work environment is essential for this role. Strong attention to detail, team player attitude and ability to communicate to members and 3rd party vendors in a prompt and professional manner is essential. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Position Responsibilities

Processing incoming mortgage loans from initial application to funding. Duties include but not limited to ordering appraisal and title reports, requesting documents from members and verifying for accuracy, member loan status updates, management of daily pipeline reports in order to prioritize workload and meet deadlines. Preparation of loan documents upon receipt of final approval and working closely with other team members to complete a large volume of work.

Other duties as assigned, in order to support the residential lending team.

Position Requirements

Minimum 3 years of experience originating and/or processing conventional mortgages.
Working knowledge of industry related TRID/HMDA/CFPB regulations and requirements.
Working knowledge of FNMA lending guidelines.
Strong pipeline management skills.
Working knowledge of various Loan Origination Systems.
Ability to effectively multi-task and process a large volume of work.
Credit Union work experience highly desirable but not necessary.
Working knowledge and comprehension of financial mathematical skills and ability to perform needed calculations.

Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

Education/Certification/ Licenses
Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) is desirable, combined with 3 years of related work experience.

Ability to speak and write in both English and Spanish is preferred, although Spanish is optional and is not a requirement.
