Vehicle Claims
• Track vehicle damage from crash reports and fleet notifications.
• Request missing documentation from supervisors.
• Report to insurance carrier, if necessary.
• Coordinate repairs of non-Dean vehicles.
• Request payment of repair costs for non-Dean vehicles.
• Track repair costs for Dean vehicles (in house, outside vendors).
• Follow up on passenger injuries, report to liability carrier.
• Post-accident drug and alcohol tests, driver evaluations, and retraining tracking.
• Coordinate litigation claims (record copies, witnesses, prepare info for interrogatories).
Workers' Compensation
• Track injuries and illnesses.
• Report to insurance carrier, if necessary.
• Manage wage loss payments (in house, from carrier).
• Coordinate medical care for employees.
• Review restrictions and clinic notes.
• Report work status to supervisors.
• Arrange for light duty work.
• Track costs (lost time, medical care).
• Submit invoices for payment (in house, by carrier).
• Report data to outside agencies as required (OSHA logs).
• Coordinate litigation claims (record copies, witnesses, prepare info for interrogatories).
Unemployment
• Pull notices from mail or web.
• Respond to notices.
• Prepare for and participate in hearings (Evidence, witnesses, questions).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Associates Degree with emphasis in insurance, human resources, or a related field. • Experience with insurance claims required. • Thorough knowledge of Michigan no-fault law preferred. • Ability to create organized processes and methods. • Attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines. • Ability to productively interact with internal and external customers. • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. • Ability to process and evaluate confidential information and materials. |
