Redhorse Corporation is recruiting for a Quality Assurance/Construction Manager (QA/CM) in Wake Island (Pacific Ocean).

The Quality Assurance/Construction Manager (QA/CM) will be responsible for construction oversight of multiple Sustainment, Repair, and Maintenance (SRM) projects for the 611th Civil Engineering Squadron (CES) and the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).

The QA/CM will assist the government with oversight of project planning and scheduling, project accounting and control, while ensuring compliance with quality standards and client satisfaction. The QA/CM may review the government's contractor field activities to ensure they are being conducted according to regulatory and project-specific procedures, and that the resulting construction are in accordance with approved design and specifications. The QA/CM will assist in the surveillance, which shall include project documentation, photographs, daily surveillance log, and reports of immediate health and safety hazards observed. Travel and working in the field will be required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage client technical interface to ensure client project expectations are understood and that the project staff exceed these expectations while maintaining projected revenue and profit goals.
  • Monitor and manage the progress, budget, and schedule of all assigned projects throughout the entire project lifecycle.
  • Oversee contractor activities and ensure they are executed in accordance with the construction schedule, design, DoD, Federal, state, local regulations.
  • Manage subcontractor relations and hold accountable for providing quality work.
  • Construction Manager will also be responsible for achieving project profit goals, and reporting progress and problems to the program manager and/or client service manager.
  • Manage construction projects ensuring safely executed activities that meet specifications and design requirements.
  • Schedule and facilitate project status meetings with colleagues, client, and agencies.
  • Manage daily activities and reporting requirements and conduct periodic inspection of construction sites.
  • Identify and manage potential risks or issues to give rise to disputes and claims.
  • Communication/interaction with clients, regulatory agencies, and end users.
 
Position Requirements

Minimum Basic Requirements for Skills, Experience, Education and Credentials for the Quality Assurance/Construction Manager (QA/CM) include:

  • B.S. or higher degree in engineering, or related field.
  • Ten (10) to fifteen (15) plus years of construction project management.
  • EM 385-1-1 Safety Certification preferred
  • Experience developing and managing client relationships.
  • Experience managing multiple large construction projects in multiple roles.
  • Experience with full execution of design/build and design/bid/build construction projects.
  • Experience with regulatory agencies and working on Department of Defense projects is highly desired.
  • The position will require working remotely on Wake Island
  • May require additional travel to remote sites throughout Alaska if located at Eareckson
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to pass a HAZWOPER physical.
