The Embedded Software Architect will be working on the award winning Movimento Unified OTA platform that has been revolutionizing the automotive industry. The candidate will be working on the advanced automotive applications while leading efforts to develop the architecture of Movimento in-vehicle client and collaborating with software development teams. The ideal candidate is an experienced architect with expertise in designing effective software architecture and software development in the domain of embedded systems or automotive. This position will be locatedin Mountain View, CA.

Responsibilities:

  • Design architecture of the in-vehicle clients for Movimento’s unified OTA platform.

  • Contribute to the Movimento’s connected car architecture, while owning the in-vehicle architecture.

  • Define and develop SDK to accommodate development of hardware, in-vehicle network interface, and communication applications.

  • Create environments to facilitate faster development and rigorous testing while managing support libraries.

  • Support and guide development teams in technical queries.

  • Actively participate in code review and maintain the quality of the overall development process.

  • Define quality parameters and benchmarking criteria for the development teams.

  • Communicate and coordinate with offshore team.

 
Position Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering

  • 3+ years of experience in designing embedded architecture

  • 5+ year of experience in hands-on software development.

  • 5+ years of C, C++ programming experience

  • 3+ years of experience working with OS architecture and system components, preferably POSIX.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts

  • Must be able to design scalable and modular client architecture of the future to satisfy product requirements.

  • Knowledge of automotive architecture and in-vehicle communication protocols.

  • High levels of creativity and quick problem-solving capabilities.

  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven record of designing software architectures for complex embedded projects.

  • Profession experience working with automotive embedded devices.

  • Experience with in-vehicle communication protocol such as CAN, LIN, Flexray, and Ethernet.

  • Knowledge and understanding of Yocto-based operating systems and setting up their build environment. Knowledge of QNX is a plus.

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
