We believe vaccination is the best protection for our patients, community and Visiting Nurse staff.   Location Corporate   Category Corporate   Description The Physician Support Coordinator is responsible for organizing all efforts related to physician unsigned orders. These duties include contacting various physicians to notify them of unsigned orders and obtain necessary signature, directing the various Intake Teams on their daily roles surrounding outstanding physician orders related to incoming referrals and managing the relationship between Intake and Medical Records to ensure orders are printed, reviewed, sent out based on physician preference, received, checked for quality, checked in and scanned/attached to the patient EMR. Other duties include synchronizing shift changes in Intake to hand off ongoing and incomplete physician related items to the next shift. The Physician Support Team also maintains coordination of the front desk/receptionist role for the VNHS corporate office. An individual may be assigned permanently to this location, or as back-up, in addition to Physician Support responsibilities.   Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Position Requirements Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Previous Experience: 4-6 years of job specific work or related experience in home health care preferred Skills: Critical thinking to respond to varying physician preferences. Clerical ability to operate a variety of office machines and competent keyboarding skill. Job Knowledge/Training: Knowledge of home health care required. Experience with Medicare regulations, document tracking requirement and physician and patient communication preferred. Software: Horizon Homecare preferred, but not required. Computer Skills: Strong typing and accurate data entry skills are preferred. Proficiency in the use of a computer, Excel, Access, and ability to master in-house computer systems are required.
