The contractor shall assist a Government lead in serving as a liaison between NAVFAC and SWRMC. Employees shall coordinate with NAVFAC Transportation on vehicle usages, i.e. Buses, larges forklifts and semi-trailers. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Track and monitor all handling equipment to include forklifts, manlifts, and scissor lifts in support of SWRMC. Read close tolerance instruments such as: caliper/micrometer and torque wrenches. Maintain a Government generated form such as a Metbench Calibration Management Spreadsheet. The contractor's employees shall help coordinate a schedule with the Branch Supervisor for the SWRMC taxi service; schedule pick-ups and arrange special events requiring larger buses. Support SWRMC Government vehicle check-out /check-in process. Track and update location assignment of all SWRMC vehicles. Record mileage and usage of vehicles and equipment issued through transportation. Maintain and issue hazmat, recollect unused hazmat, and collect hazmat waste for disposal. Provide support for Government golf cart dispatch and maintenance schedule for Government golf carts. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with gas and electrical carts. Replace pneumatic tires and align steering columns. Replace batteries, fuses, light on gas and electric carts. Repair doors, cart beds, and frames. Perform light welding - Metal Inert Gas (MIG), Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG), Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW). Perform forklift preventive maintenance and minor repair. Examples of minor repairs include but are not limited to the following: replenish window wiper fluid, replace air in tires, and washing. Assist the Government to perform rigging and building crane operations.   Position Requirements Have and maintain a current and valid Class A California Driver’s License. Have knowledge of proper tool functions and tool capabilities.
