Description

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Install and adjust speed and gear mechanisms.

• Assemble new bicycles if required.

• Generate a list of materials necessary to install, repair, and replace bicycle parts or accessories, such as handlebars, stands, lights, baskets and seats.

• Align wheels.

• Disassemble axles in order to repair, adjust, and replace defective parts, using hand tools.

• Shape replacement parts using bench grinders.

• Repair holes in tire tubes using scrapers and patches or replace with new inner tube.

• Identify broken or cracked frames that will require welding. Job(s) will be assigned by Transportation Branch Head to SWRMC welder in Facilities for repairs.

• Disassemble bicycles to be powder coated by assisting SWRMC Corrosion Control Product Family to ensure the bikes are prepared properly for powder coating.
